This monument, set in the Jardin Anglais in Geneva, represents the union of the formerly independent Republic of Geneva to Switzerland in 1814. It was created by Robert Dorier in 1869. In the immediate vicinity there is a boat-restaurant and the 5 stars Metropole Hotel.
