Eating at Swiss Restaurants
Home > Business Guide > Table of Contents > Entertaining > Restaurants

Most Swiss restaurants serve international dishes, often of French inspiration. In the middle price range there are scores of pizzerias, usually reliably good Italian restaurants serving Italian-style pizza and pasta.

People often show up at 6:30 P.M. for dinner, and by 10 P.M. most restaurants are half-empty. Eating out after 11 P.M. is a challenge even in fast foods.

Food and service are sometimes less than perfect in Swiss restaurants, although prices are always high, so if you are not satisfied with your meal, you should not hesitate to complain to the maître d’hôtel.
