Grandson’s train station, 700m west of the château along Rue Basse, is only served by occasional trains regionaux between Yverdon and Neuchâtel. It’s better to get the regular postbus from Yverdon to Gorgier-St-Aubin, which can drop you in Grandson’s Place du Château (10min). The castle’s ticket desk doubles as a souvenir shop and the town’s tourist office (024/445 29 26, www.memsa.ch/grandson).
