After you return us the opening documents : what happens now?

When we receive the opening back, one of our representatives will check that:

  • The copy of your passport has been properly authenticated.
  • You enclosed sufficient proof of the economic origin of the money.
  • You enclosed a copy of a utility bill or another proof of address
  • All forms have been properly signed

If the document set is complete, we will go to the bank and defend your application. If, however, important documents were missing, we will contact you to let you know what we need. The most common reasons for our not being able to go ahead at this stage are improper authentications and insufficient information about the economic origin of the funds.

The bank usually needs a few days to approve your application. We will notify you as soon as the bank has approved your application to let you know the details of your account officer and your account number.

Most accounts are opened when the bank has approved your applications. As an added precaution, some banks will send you a documents by courier directly to your legal address and open the account when the receive the signed document back.
